New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved an extension of the additional charge of Director (HR & EB) at Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) to Dr Kalyan Sagar Nippani, currently serving as Director (HR) at Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL).
The extension is effective from October 1, 2026, and will remain in place until his superannuation on February 28, 2027, or until further orders, whichever comes first.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT), under the Ministry of Communications, conveyed the ACC's approval through a letter dated November 2, 2026.
Dr Nippani will not receive any additional remuneration for holding the charge at MTNL.
