New Delhi: Sanjay Kumar Mishra has assumed charge as Director (Technical) of Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL) on 23 October 2026.
Mishra brings 37 years of experience in the coal mining sector. He has served across four Coal India subsidiaries:
Western Coalfields Limited (WCL)
South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL)
Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL)
Northern Coalfields Limited (NCL)
He has extensive expertise in mine operations, project development, strategic planning, safety, and technological advancement.
Before being appointed to his current designation, Mishra served as General Manager at SECL.
Mishra has been with Coal India since August 1989 as shift-in-charge at Saoner I Mine under WCL in Nagpur.
He completed a General Management Programme at the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI), Hyderabad, in 2016.
