New Delhi: S Jayavardhan, an IAS officer from the 2014 batch belonging to the Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed as Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs in Delhi.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved his appointment under the Central Staffing Scheme. This was confirmed in an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Jayavardhan will hold the post for four years starting from the day he takes charge. His tenure will end earlier if he receives instructions.
The Chhattisgarh government has been directed to release him from his responsibilities immediately. This will allow him to begin his role at the ministry without delay.
This appointment is part of the government’s routine administrative process. It involves assigning officers from state cadres to work in ministries and departments. This helps in coordination and management across different levels of government.
