New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) was awarded the prestigious 'Award of Excellence' at the 19th Urban Mobility India Conference and Expo for the 'Excellence in Innovation and Smart Mobility Solutions' category.
The Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal, presented the award to DMRC Managing Director Vikas Kumar at the conference held in Bhubaneswar.
The two-day conference cum expo gathered urban mobility experts and professionals from around the world to highlight issues related to sustainable growth and urban transportation, promoting development.
The event was also attended by the Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Government of Odisha, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, and senior officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs and the Government of Odisha.
DMRC has made headlines in recent years for its advancements and developments in digital ticketing, AI integration in predictive maintenance, and improved customer service response.
