
New Delhi: New Delhi: The NTPC Vindhyachal is set to begin the CII-Exim Bank Business Excellence Assessment for the year 2025-26, where the assessment will look into the functioning of the power plant and other sustainable activities.
The third edition of the assessment commenced on October 6, 2026, during an inaugural programme at the Maitri Sabhagar auditorium. Kishore Kumar Hota, Executive Director of NTPC Vindhyachal, led the programme in the presence of senior management officials, department heads, SMC members, shadow officers and representatives of unions and associations.
The assessment is being conducted by a six-member team led by Dr Kalyan Krishnamoorthy. The other assessors are Dr Kamakshi Raman, Manash Banerjee, Mohammed Nawshath Ali, Dr Anjanabha Bhattacharya and Venugopala S.
The event showcased key initiatives. Ram Sewak Jaiswal, DGM (EEMG), presented his views on trends in power sector, success story of NTPC, and novel approaches in operation and maintenance at Vindhyachal. Particular emphasis was put on carbon-to-methanol plant, which was stated as a unique sustainable energy venture.
Kamna Sharma, DGM (HR), talked about the initiatives for employee wellness, training and leadership, and the Girl Empowerment Mission CSR program.
Dr Krishnamoorthy appreciated employees’ commitment and said business excellence needs continuous innovation. M Suresh, GM (O&M), delivered the vote of thanks, reaffirming the station’s focus on excellence, sustainability and stakeholder value.
